CD Click i-Studio is the client-side application of an online service that allows you to order tailored discs. In this respect, this program will let you customize everything from the contents to the box of your product.
The design of its interface makes it really easy to use. Although it is not exactly a wizard, it is very similar to that, because there is a toolbar with buttons pointing to the different creation steps.
When you open CD Click i-Studio, there is a Welcome Screen that will let you start a new project or open an existing one. It will also enable you to take a tour of the application or review some package ideas online.
If you choose to start a new project, you will begin by selecting a media type, as the program supports creating CD, DVD and Blu-Ray discs. You can also select a media shape from standard, mini, biz-card and vinyl style. As a second step, you can select an image as a background for your disc; and you can enter text as well. The third step is related to specifying the disc contents properly. One of the options here is to create your disc from scratch by adding the desired files from your hard disks. The other options comprise using an existing disc image file or copying a master disc. The fourth step lets you decide on the type of packaging from a wide range of standard and special packaging. The fifth step lets you review your project’s properties and save it to disk. Finally, you can start to upload the project to the site. To do this, you will need to create an account on the developer’s site.
In general, CD Click i-Studio is a user-friendly application. While it is true that it is a free application, as part of a larger service, it will be completely useless unless you place an order. In this respect, except for saving your project, it does not provide any way to share your results with other applications. It does not allow you to print the covers or burn the discs either.
